Publisher independence
Each publisher chooses what to cover and is responsible for the opinions, recommendations, and claims they publish. Different publishers may reach different conclusions.
Clear commercial context
Every product-link disclosure should identify whether the publisher or Buyer Field Guide may be compensated, or say when no affiliate commission is earned. It should be easy to notice and close to the recommendation or link it explains.
Useful, specific guidance
- Explain who a product may fit.
- Include meaningful tradeoffs, not only praise.
- Separate known product details from personal opinion.
- Encourage readers to confirm details that can change.
What Buyer Field Guide does not claim
Buyer Field Guide does not itself test, approve, verify, or endorse products or publisher claims unless a specific page clearly states that it does. Hosting a guide does not mean the platform agrees with it.
Corrections and concerns
For a question about a recommendation, product claim, or correction, use the Contact page on that publisher's guide. The publisher is closest to the content and can address it directly.
